Starting from February 1, 2005 the International Satellite TV-Channel "Belarus-TV" created by the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus began broadcasting for the FSU countries and beyond for foreign viewers, and first of all for Russian and Belarusian speaking residents of the former Soviet Union which want to operatively receive multisided and authoritative information about Belarus.

"Belarus-TV" is a state non-commercial TV-Channel which broadcasts 24 hours a day beyond the limits of its country and guarantees informational ties of ethnic Belarusians with their historical Motherland. The broadcast is realized in Belarusian and Russian languages.

The goals of TV-Channel "Belarus-TV" is the expansion of the Belarusian informational presence on the former Soviet Union territory and the world, the formation of a positive image and the consolidation of the authority of the Republic of Belarus at the international arena.

TV-Channel "Belarus-TV" enters the structure of the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus, which also includes the TV-Channels "First Channel" and "Lad", five regional TV and Radio Associations, the First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio, radio channel "Culture", radio stations "Belarus", "Stolitsa" and "Radius-FM".

The air maximally presents informational and informational and analytical programs, social and political projects, documentaries, history and culture of the Belarusian nation, sports, music and entertaining and children's programs, film representation - the best from the largest Belarusian producers of TV, film and video production.

At first the programs of TV-Channel "Belarus-TV" were outspread through satellites Intelsat 904, ABS-1. Starting from May 7, 2007 the programs of the Belarusian channel are rebroadcasted with the help of the satellite Express-AM22 which provides connection and broadcast to the territory of Russia (from Kaliningrad to Ural), the CIS countries, Europe, the Near East and North Africa.

TV-Channel "Belarus-TV" has license to realize broadcast on the territory of the Russian Federation.

"Belarus-TV" became the biggest event of the year in the Eurasian information space at the Eighth Eurasian Television Forum, which was held November 9-13, 2005 in Moscow. From that moment on the owners of more than 2 million radio aerials in the USA and Canada, as well as residents of Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico now have the chance to watch Belarusian television programs.

Belarus-TV broadcasts within the framework of the GlobeCast WorldTV Service which, apart from the Belarusian channel, distributes over 200 international and radio channels in 35 languages from 42 countries.

Back in 2009 the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus inked an agreement on "Belarus TV" distribution in the USA with the Russian Media Group, LLC (New Jersey). Beginning April 15, the audience of "RTN Platinum" will be able to watch Belarusian programs.

The National State Belarusian TV and Radio Company signed a contract with Russian Media Group, LLC on a charge-free broadcasting of Belarus-TV. Beginning April 15, the audience of RTN Platinum could watch Belarusian programs.

RTN Platinum consists of eight Russian TV channels broadcast by the Russian Media Group, LLC (New Jersey) 24/7. RTN Platinum has subscribers in 1100 cities in 39 states, mainly New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Boston. At the moment it includes RTN, RTN+, First Channel (Russia), RTR-Planeta, Vesti, Israel +, Russian World, Belarus TV and four radio channels.

RTN Platinum has subscribers in 1100 cities in 39 states, mainly New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Boston.

The broadcasting of Belarus-TV was launched in Israel after the National State Belarusian TV and Radio Company signed the relevant contract with I-RED Israel LTD on December, 13, 2009. The Belarus-TV international channel is now available for the customers of the Orange mobile network operator in Israel. The high quality broadcast is implemented round-the-clock.
