Corpus Christi Polish Roman Catholic Cathedral

Corpus Christi Cathedral in Nesvizh is the first monument in baroque style in Eastern Europe. It was built after the project of an Italian architect in 1593. The murals inside the temple that was considered to be one of the miracles of the world by the contemporaries are very impressive. The family sepulture of the Radziwills is located in the crypt of the temple. The first burial dates back to 1616 and the last one to 2000. The program will tell you the history of the construction of the glorious shrine, Jesuit Corpus Christi Cathedral. Mogilev City Hall. A symbol of Renaissance.

Mogilev City Hall is a symbol of the city on the Dnieper. After the city accessed to the Magdeburg Right in 1577, dweller built a city hall. It was destroyed many times and restored anew. The city hall received Charles XII and Peter the Great. The city hall used to be the highest building in the city and Empress Catherine II and Austrian Emperor Franz Josef II enjoyed the city views from its viewing point. Famous writers such as Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol and Taras Shevchenko visited Mogilev City Hall.

What castle should be considered the national symbol of Belarus? Of course, it is Mir Castle. Ancient and modern at the same time, it impresses by its exceptional beauty and power. Noble families such as the Radziwills, the Vitgenshteins, the Svyatopolk-Mirskys. It was founded in 1520s by prince Yuri Ilyinich as his family fortress residence. Mir Castle was favored by Belarusians. It is unique in its esthetic, architectural and engineering properties. It is an invaluable witness of historical and cultural events, which happened in Belarus during the last 5 centuries.

Brest Fortress. Stone guard of the frontier.

During its rich history Brest-Litovskl frequently got in the area of military activities. A powerful fortification was built on the site of the old town, near the falloff the river Mukhvets into the Zapadny Bug. At different times the project, the construction and further transformation of fortifications was carried out by engineer and military topographer Karl Opperman, the most famous engineer of the 19th century, general Eduard Totleben. And St. Nicholas Orthodox Temple was created by architect and academician David Grimm. The stone guard of the border used to be a political prison, a military depot and a house for negotiations. Brest-Lithuanian Peace was signed in it on March 3, 1918.
